Duration: 30 minutes + Q&A
Presenter: Paul Thompson, Director of Solution Engineering - Strategic Partnerships

Topics of Discussion

In this webinar, we will look in greater detail at the technical requirements of 5G URLLC and how to assure the performance of each 5G network slice for an unrivaled end-user experience.

We’ll touch on the following topics:

  • The additional performance requirements of 5G-enabled services and the many challenges of deploying 5G networks
  • The benefits of 5G URLLC and real life use case examples
  • How accurate and detailed network and per-slice performance visibility is mandatory for successful 5G service launch and in-life assurance
  • How closed-loop automation has a key part to play in slice orchestration and lifecycle management
Overview

The adoption of 5G will enable several industries to be faster, more efficient and productive, and one of the key drivers is Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communication (URLLC) service. 5G URLLC provides ultra-high network reliability and very low latency, ensuring data transmission within a few milliseconds. This 5G capability can support commercial use cases such as smart manufacturing, even as far as igniting Industry 4.0, intelligent transport and remote surgery, just to name a few.

But deploying 5G URLLC comes with new stringent performance requirements and presents significant challenges for mobile network operators (MNOs).
